The overall length of bike is 2,085 mm, height 1,110 mm, width 714 mm, wheel base 1,400 mm together with the lightweight of 170 kgs make comfortable when parking. The bike equipped a taut suspension, especially the new 37mm telescopic front fork and uni-trak rear fork with five preload adjustment. At each end of the single petal disc brake (a 290 mm up front and a 220 mm rear) is gripped by a two-piston caliper.
In the new ’08 Ninja 250R version distributed by Phuong Mai Company, engine is updating with the liquid-cooled, 249 cc., DOHC, parallel twin new heads with reshaped intake and exhaust ports, and more compact combustion chambers, all in the interest of enhanced midrange. The four new valves per cylinder get thinner heads to reduce reciprocating mass, and to increase flow. The camshafts are new with increased lift and duration. The six-spedd transmission gets new sheft splines, and the twin 30 mm Keihin carburetor carry revised jetting. The radiator is new, as is the 2-into-1 exhaust system. Through the fuel tank looks smaller, it holds the same 18 liters as its predecessor.
